Wild Apricot is a fantastic membership software used by schools, clubs, foundations and many other non-profit organizations. Later this year, Wild Apricot will be launching a new version of their software that is focused on the introduction of a new CMS – content management system – and will be rolled out in stages.
We at SPARKS! would like you to know about some highlights of the new version:
Page Layout – There is a more flexible page layout design. Pages will inherit their layout from page templates. Different pages on a single website can have different designs, instead of every page looking the same. Page headers and footers are now part of each template.
Page Management – Users can now manage their pages from the same screen that they use to edit their pages. Using the new Site pages screen, you can tweak, refashion or change their pages and apply specific page access restrictions for either public, admin or more restricted access, and this can be done on the page settings. There are unlimited menu levels for your pages.
Restoring Pages – When users are modifying their website’s page, the new version will automatically save what you are doing every 10 seconds. Users can also review previous versions of the page being worked on. And if, for some reason you deleted the page, it’s possible to restore it.
Complex Layouts – In the new version, users can add any number of layouts to create multiple sections, each with its own combination of rows and columns. Ignoring layouts, users can also drop gadgets in layout cells.
These are some of the new highlights we look forward to from Wild Apricot. We think you will love them, too!
