Social media is an ever-present in daily life. Most of us have an account on one or more of the platforms of either Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Google+ or another one.
But which social media platform’s users are most engaged? Pew Research found out.
Facebook still proves to be the platform with the highest engagement, according to a recent Pew Research Center finding. 70% say they check Facebook daily, while 17% check it weekly and only 12% less often. In a graph recently released from Pew, Facebook tops Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest and LinkedIn:
Pew says that “Most Facebook users are actively engaging with their networks on the site. As opposed to simply reading or viewing content, 65% of Facebook users frequently or sometimes share, post or comment on Facebook.”
On Instagram: “Almost half (49%) of Instagram users are on the platform daily, with 32% who say they go on Instagram several times a day. Another 24% say they check in weekly, while 26% visit Instagram less often than that.”
On Twitter: “36% of Twitter users visit the site daily, with 22% saying they go on Twitter several times a day. Another 24% say they visit a few days a week, while 40% say they check Twitter less often.”
